Extracurricular and Elective Classes

The Woodlands International Virtual Academy offers elective and extracurricular courses to fulfill high school credit requirements and help students explore and pursue their career interests.

The Business Arts extracurricular classes introduce students to the fundamental concepts of business, including how businesses operate, basic planning, legal aspects, and the steps to starting a successful business.

The Medical Terminology and Health Science extracurricular classes introduce students to basic concepts in the medical field, covering essential terms, conditions, procedures, and treatments. These classes are designed to guide students interested in exploring a future in healthcare.

The Information Technology extracurricular classes teach the fundamentals of computer use, infrastructure, data input and output, and the storage, creation, and processing of information.

The Web Design extracurricular classes teach the fundamentals of creating and developing websites to effectively meet customer needs.

The Veterinary Science extracurricular classes teach the fundamentals of animal care, emphasizing how to ensure both the animal’s comfort and safety, as well as the well-being of the caregiver.

The Business Hospitality and Business Marketing extracurricular classes teach essential marketing and customer service skills, focusing on how to effectively present ideas and services while ensuring customers feel valued and satisfied.

Before enrolling, please check with your enrollment counselor to ensure that the campus of your choice offers the elective classes you’d like.
To graduate with a U.S. high school diploma from us, students must satisfy our state graduation requirements or earn the required number of credits according to our state’s policies and procedures.
Students outside the United States will receive a transcript and a U.S. high school diploma issued by The Woodlands International Virtual Academy upon graduation. These documents will be officially sealed, accompanied by an international apostille issued by the state of Texas, and notarized by our school notary public.
Students pursuing college in the U.S. do not need an apostille.
