About TWIVA

The Woodlands International Virtual Academy (TWI Virtual) is a private K-12 online school providing a comprehensive education for students from Kindergarten through High School.
Located 30 miles north of downtown Houston and 57 miles southwest of NASA’s Space Center, our fully virtual school is rooted in one of the world’s fastest-growing tech hubs. This allows us to offer a curriculum focused on shaping the future leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
As part of KBY Learning Solutions in Houston, we collaborate with highly educated instructors from around the world who share their diverse cultures and experiences with our students daily.
Founded by Amber and Robin Aguilera in 2007, TWI Virtual was born out of a desire to provide their children with a better, safer educational environment full of learning opportunities. Our goal is to establish a strong academic foundation while nurturing lifelong learning habits.
At TWI Virtual, we are deeply committed to educational integrity. Our staff educates with dignity and respect, delivering the latest material in a digital environment, and preparing students for success in both society and their future careers.
Spanish as a Second Language (SSL)
The Woodlands International Virtual Academy emphasizes the importance of learning a new language. With Spanish being the second most spoken language in the U.S., we offer our students the opportunity to fully learn both Spanish and Portuguese at no additional cost. Our goal is to provide your student with valuable skills for their future, enabling them to serve their community and achieve success in the business world.
NASA Houston Space Center
As part of KBY Learning Solutions, our school organizes an annual trip to the NASA Space Center in Houston, located southwest of downtown. This exciting opportunity allows our students to explore space science, technology, and engineering firsthand during a guided tour. TWIVA invites students from all our campuses, including our U.S.-based virtual campus, as well as K12 programs in Honduras, Guatemala, Portugal, and Spain, to visit this incredible learning center.
Learning from Home
Now our students get the opportunity to learn from the safest place on earth: their homes. We connect on a daily basis with our students that use one of the most sophisticated, safest, and easily accessible learning platforms that teach our students about everything they need to know. Our classes are live and the instructors are always willing to go the extra mile in order to achieve success and provide support to students.
